Bathing and swimming zones

Swimming and bathing in the sea are only permitted in supervised zones along the beach.

Lifeguard service

Lifeguard services are on duty every weekend and public holiday from Ascension Day onwards, and daily from June 15 to September 15, from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm.

When can I swim?

  • Green flag: swimming and bathing allowed
  • Yellow flag: dangerous conditions: no inflatables or floating devices allowed
  • Red flag: swimming and bathing prohibited

Please note

  • Only swim in the supervised zones, never in the unsupervised areas.
  • Never leave children unattented in the water.
  • In strong waves, never go further into the water than waist-deep.
  • With offshore winds or a yellow flag, never go further than waist-deep and never use air mattresses or similar items.
  • Entering the water from the beach with scooters and jet skis is prohibited.
  • Always follow the instructions of the lifeguards!
