Statue of Mother and Child, designed in the 1960s by Dutch sculptor Koos van der Kaaij. The concrete and plaster statue was originally erected in Astrid Park, but was smashed to pieces. A replica, consisting of a polystyrene core covered in plastic, was unveiled in 2007 at its current location in Park Lange. The white-painted statue features the elongated, naked figures of a mother seated on a stone and a standing child, their heads touching.
