Striking heritage along shoreline and dune forest

This walk is available in Dutch or French only.

Let yourself be fascinated by the world of beach fishing and hear how fishermen and their vessels braved the whims of bad weather, treacherous storms and ground seas.

Along the route, the pump house and the water tower recount the captivating story of freshwater supply, past and present. And as you enjoy the natural surroundings, you will also discover how the sea continues to challenge our landscape with rising water levels and the need for coastal defences.
